Description
In the 1960s, when air pollution emerged as a major global concern, Babcock-Hitachi K.K. started research and development for reducing of NOx emissions from power plants. Babcock-Hitachi K.K. first developed a pellet type DENOx catalyst. Based upon this original catalyst, Babcock-Hitachi K.K. developed a low pressure drop plate type catalyst, which is presently one of our major products. NOx removal system is configured so that flue gas is flown to a reactor filled with a catalyst. Ammonia required for NOx removal reaction is injected into the flue gas through a nozzle mounted at the upstream of the catalyst. If the flue gas contains dusts, the flow is led straight downward to prevent build-up and plugging of dusts.
